THE ROAD TO SD: day 3

DAY 3! We stopped at front street, an old-western themed tourist spot on a strip in ogallala, nebraska for dinner. it was a cool little town & with a pretty rich history of cattle drives and railroads— it was named after the oglala sioux tribe but i don’t believe they ever resided there. we eventually hopped off of interstate 80 & caught interstate 76 which brought us right into the rocky mountains in denver. we made it through the mountains at night, which was not as treacherous as i thought, but it wasn’t quite a walk in the park either. we settled down in rifle, colorado for the night in a really weird holiday inn right off the highway— it feels like the type of place where people going missing— but i think i might be biased from the big-foot SUBCULTURE that is pretty strong out here. by the time i write the next blog, we should be in San diego!
