2021, a year to remember

you know, i feel like you can give any year that tagline. it sounds cliche, but i’ve always found at the end of the day there is much more to be grateful for than is not to be, and 2021 didn’t fall short for me.

i turned 25 this year, and since my early 20s, i gave myself this rough deadline to begin to pinpoint who i am and what i aim to be— some days, i really failed taking on that responsibility. other days, i felt like i was right where i wanted to be. whenever it was getting me down, i reminded myself that there’s a difference between putting things off and starting over— so long as I made some attempt on any particular day, I didn’t put it off. there’s a middle ground between being hard on yourself, but not too hard on yourself.

a couple of highlights for this past year:

i successfully (kinda) fulfilled my goal to get a blog post up on every weekday of 2021. the topics ranged widely, and this has gained some readership— i should thank you all for caring enough to check this out.

i’ve been writing a decent amount of music, and i’d love to drop an EP of original tracks this upcoming year— string lights, december, and forbidden fruit might be dropped as singles, but i haven’t decided yet.

i began minting NFT’s on the ethereum blockchain, something i’ve been waiting years to do.

i became more aware of my food consumption and what i was putting into my body— this past year, i’ve started replacing my multivitamin with a beef liver supplement which is one of the most nutrient dense foods in the world. this upcoming year, my goal is to consume only local grind grass-fed beef & local pasture raised chicken.

though I didn’t do much traveling this year, i shot a good amount of film locally & discovered a new developer in Brooklyn who has absolutely changed the quality of my photo scans.

i’ve got some various other goals for 2022, least of which is adding more resources and links onto this site— i’d really like to make this a one-stop site for all things cool. i’ll eventually launch a store for stickers, prints, and external links to my NFT collections on Open Sea— i’m always brainstorming other add-ons, so i’d love to hear what you’ve got for suggestions.

thanks again for stopping by everyday & Here’s to looking ahead.
