tracks on repeat: mine again

there’s something about stories on the redemption of the human spirit that makes me emotional. i get a serious sense of profound joy when witnessing the underdog PERSEVERE and overcome. this entire track is beautiful, but the intro really stands out to me. the list of questions that he rattles off on what drove his desire to reclaim himself gets me— “…was it the sunset on her cheeks leading down to a delicate collar bone, or the judgement of your mind when you’re alone?…” in the chorus, he celebrates that re-discovery of himself along with advice to PERSEVERE— “…and if you fight all night, i’m sure you’ll gain the guts to try…” i’ve shared a few zb tracks over the past couple of weeks, but this has crept up into my favorites— he plays his music with as much emotion as he writes it.

give this performance a listen because it’s very much worth it.
