COOL DUDES I ADMIRE: RICK RESCORLA

U.S. Army 2nd Lt. Rick Rescorla was the platoon leader for the 2nd battalion, 7th cavalry regiment, 1st division in la Drag, South Vietnam in November of 1965. Rescorla hailed from Cornwall, UK where he first serves in the british military— he later enlisted in the U.S. army. when he switched to civilian life, he took a job as head of security for the banking firm morgan stanley dean witter & co. when the towers came down in 2001, Rick Rescorla was credited with saving over 2,000 people by evacuating them from the south tower before it collapsed— sadly, he was in the tower when it collapsed as he attempted to evacuate more people.

hard times truly created strong men— rick rescorla was a walking example of that.
