HAPPY MONDAY, FOLKS!
It was a long weekend, and I don’t mean I worked a short week, I mean the weekend dragged on & I am tired— I spent both days working but the highlight was penciling some label designs for a friends candle company— branding is something I really enjoy so to say I’m stoked about that project would be an understatement. I finally freed up some time on Sunday night & managed to start to catalog my comic collection— I really dig these BCW storage portfolios, though they are a tad bit pricey. I like the idea of displaying the box on a bookshelf unlike a traditional comic box you’d need to flip through.
The BCW boxes come blank with a plastic wrap designed for a paper insert on the outside. I ended up busting out these two covers simply taking a cover from Frontline Combat & Western Comics and replacing the masthead with my own personal text— I retouched the colors a bit and voila! Made the storage of my books look just a little more unique.
Printed these out of my Canon iX6800 which almost gives the card-stock a giclee type of feel— I highly recommend that printer.
